Description

The letter proposes for the first time a methodology to compute analytical functions approximating the cost curves of active or reactive power aggregated flexibility in the short-term operation of an active distribution system. These piece-wise linear functions can be embedded seamlessly in the tools for flexibility procurement to meet transmission grid security. The methodology tailors AC optimal power flow and power flow calculations to four proposed relevant flexibility provision cases.
