Weastflows final conference: Delivering freight – better, smarter and more sustainably

The Weastflows final conference is taking place at the Thon-EU hotel in Brussels, Belgium on 12 February 2015.

The European INTERREG IVB NWE research project Weastflows, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), aims to improve and enhance freight logistics in North West Europe and encourage the switch from a strong dependence on road transport to more sustainable modes.

During the final event, you will find out about the project’s findings and results, including work to help shift goods from road haulage to more sustainable modes, such as by rail, short sea shipping and river transportation.

Leading authorities in the logistics field will also discuss and debate the challenges and future opportunities to achieve a more sustainable, efficient and innovative freight network in Europe.
