LIST's participation in Luxembourg Sustainability Forum 2015

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) will participate in Luxembourg Sustainability Forum 2015, organised by IMS Luxembourg on September 24th, 2015. Valérie Maquil and Bertrand Meunier will be the representatives of the LIST.

At the agenda: opening speeches, round tables, workshops, exceptional lecture and round tabl, launching of "Luxembourg CEO Sustainability Club" and an exhibition.

The LIST will take part in the exhibition entitled "Innovative paths to sustanability". Valérie Maquil will present to the visitors the results of a research that was conducted in the framework of a partnership agreement the LIST signed with the Centre d'Animation Pédagogique et de Loisirs (CAPEL - the Educational and Leisure Resource Centre) for classes and day school in Luxembourg City. This partnership project aimed to establish and assess a new collaborative system which allows children aged 8 to 10 years old to explore and understand what causes climate change. It is about using the know-how developed in the Centre within the field of Tangible User Interfaces or TUIs. The idea behind TUIs is to give users the opportunity to physically handle data in a specific context and to visualise the effects in real time.
