LIST at the Science Festival 2023

On 9-12 November 2023, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) will participate in the new edition of the Science Festival, organised by The National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) and the National Research Fund (FNR) at the Neumünster Abbey Cultural Exchange Center in Luxembourg city.

On Thursday 9th and Friday 10th November, the Science Festival will open its doors to students at school in Luxembourg, then to the public during the weekend.

The purpose of this event is to present and promote science and research in Luxembourg and to foster the interest of young people and the general public in science and technology, through interactive workshops, science-related shows and performances.

LIST researchers will hold 4 booths to present their activities:

"Chatbot Show: Puis-je parler avec un Chatbot/ Chatbot Show: Kann ich mit dem Chatbot reden" Atelier 45 Tente Parvis.

Come interact with a multilingual chatbot! Select a card and watch how an artificial intelligence robot can reveal the suit and family of your card. How to design a dialogue for a chatbot?

Atelier 22 1er etage

Technologies make our daily lives easier, but often to the detriment of ecological issues. Can interactive systems help us adopt more environmentally friendly behavior? Try new approaches from research and share your perspective!

" IA et astronomie en visuel assisté/KI und visuell unterstützte Astronomie " Atelier 3 Nature Musée

Visually assisted astronomy consists of capturing images using a camera coupled to a telescope, then displaying the result instantly on a screen. Learn how AI can be used to inspect solar activity with a robotic telescope.
