An alumni network coming soon

Within the framework of the recent establishment of a Doctoral Education Unit designed to welcome and support PhD candidates throughout their path within it, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is setting up a professional ‘Alumni’ network.

Bringing together former PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers from LIST, as well as from CRP Henri Tudor and CRP-Gabriel Lippmann who gave birth to LIST with their merger as of 1st of January 2015, the network has the following missions:

• to propose social networking events from 2017 to its members
• to participate in a career tracking survey taking place on February 2017 by the European Science Foundation, an association composed of national research funding agencies across Europe, including the Luxembourg National Research Fund. For this survey, researchers having completed their PhD between 2010 and 2016 are more specifically targeted and participants will see anonymised results comprising demographic, career mobility as well as social and economic outcome data, including skills utilisation patterns.
