On May 23 and 24, 2016, the Horizon 2020-funded project "Empowering reuse of digital cultural heritage in context-aware crosscuts of European history" (CrossCult) held its kickoff meeting at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Ranked 1 out of 137 proposals submitted during the call for projects dedicated to the theme of cultural heritage and European identities, CrossCult aims to stimulate a change in the way European citizens understand history thanks to the contribution of innovative ICT technologies.
LIST coordinates the project and gathers around him more than a dozen European partners (universities, research centers, cultural venues, etc.) from Spain, Greece, United-Kingdom, Malta, France, Italy and Luxembourg. In Luxembourg, the institutions involved in the project are, in addition to LIST, the Centre Virtuel de la Connaissance sur l’Europe (CVCE) and the City of Luxembourg.
