On 24 October 2017, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) showcased its work in data-driven value creation for companies, in a workshop on Industry 4.0 organised by FEDIL and Luxinnovation at the Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
The event focused on data analytics in concrete industrial applications, and gathered around 30 participants from local and international industry, including representatives from LIST’s collaborative research partners ArcelorMittal, Tetra Pak, Paul-Wurth and Goodyear. In a hands-on workshop, the partners presented case studies of their projects with LIST, showing how data analytics helps them transform and improve manufacturing processes, cost structures and overall productivity.
The opening note was given by Mr Nicolas Buck (President of Fedil –Business Federation Luxembourg) and Mr Gaston Trauffler (Head of Stategy at Luxinnovation, the National Innovation Agency). The workshop itself was led by Prof Jorge Sanz from LIST, Luxembourg’s prime expert in business analytics, who introduced the different speakers and commented on the respective projects with their challenges and outcomes.
