On the occasion of the 11th edition of the Luxembourg Enterprises Open Days, the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) opened its doors to the general public, on Sunday, 18 September 2016. This day was a success as 600 visitors total came to discover LIST research projects and cutting-edge equipment, and also to get to know researchers and their jobs.
A multi-site and multi-theme tour was offered to participants visiting LIST. On the agenda, guided tours of the laboratories and the techological showroom, interactive workshops and also contest, bouncy castle, snacks and barbecue :
In the Showroom at LIST's Belval site, visitors discovered some technological innovations and LIST experts delivered presentations at a fast pace: tangible tables, air quality, the optimization of composite materials. At Belvaux site, the general public had the opportunity to learn more about the conversion of mechanical energy into electricity, new plasma materials, biogas, as well as to visit of research laboratories.
Participants were also invited to take part in a contest with a iPad to win.
