The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) joins the House of Entrepreneurship community with the Betriber&Emwelt initiative, opening the door to more presence for companies at the local level.
With the objective to welcome business leaders and to provide guidance about environmental policies and legal requirements, LIST will have a monthly presence at the House of Entrepreneurship at 14 Erasme Street in Kirchberg: one Tuesday per month, starting in June 2019. The idea is to facilitate discussions among companies and LIST experts in the field, who will also be there to inform them on the different media and tools available in Luxembourg.
Betriber&Emwelt is an initiative launched in 2011 that aims to inform and share information related environmental legislation, the changes and impacts for Luxembourg companies. In the framework of its environmental policies activities, LIST supports national authorities in the definition, the implementation and the evaluation of policies. As stated by Tom Baumert (Entrepreneurship Director, Chamber of Commerce): "LIST's activities related to the Betriber&Emwelt initiative make Luxembourg companies actively aware that they can comply with their obligations in the most efficient and complete manner." Baumert also mentioned that they are pleased to be able to bring this environmental expertise, through the monthly presence of LIST, to the entrepreneurs who come to meet them directly at the House of Entrepreneurship. Caroline Fedrigo (Senior engineer at LIST), very enthusiastic about ensuring monthly permanence, adds: "We regularly organize different activities and events, such as information sessions, workshops, annual conference, and from now on a new collaboration with the House of Entrepreneurship. Through the requests we receive, we will be able to better understand the needs and expectations of companies and thus better adapt our awareness-raising actions."
Betriber&Emwelt is managed in collaboration with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Sustainable Development and the Administration of the Environment (AEV). For any further information on this topic, visit www.betriber-emwelt.lu or contact Caroline Fedrigo via email.
