On Friday 19 May, LIST signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institut fir Biologësch Landwirtschaft an Agrarkultur Luxemburg a.s.b.l. (IBLA) for collaborative research in the area of organic agriculture.
The five-year agreement foresees an exchange of staff, reciprocal access to laboratories and infrastructures, and collaborative publications, funding applications, projects and meetings. The MoU was signed by LIST CEO Dr Fernand Reinig, in the presence of Dr Lucien Hoffmann, Director of the ERIN department, and Mr Claude Felten and Dr Steffi Zimmer, president and director of the IBLA, respectively.
LIST and the IBLA had already collaborated for the COBRA project, designed to help farmers in having new varieties of crops that are better adapted to organic conditions.
With this signing, LIST shows its commitment to improving quality of life in Luxembourg. Environmental and food security challenges are an integral part of the positive impact the Institute can have as a Research and Technology Organization (RTO).
