From 27 to 29 September 2017, LIST researchers participated in the Civitas Forum in Portugal, the biggest event dedicated to mobility and smart cities in Europe, as part of the European " Sustainable Urban Consolidation CentrES for Construction” (SUCCESS) project it coordinates.
The SUCCESS project is financed by the European Union's H2020 programme which aims to reduce the negative impacts and costs of urban freight transport generated by the construction sector through improved Supply Chain Management and Construction Consolidation Centres (CCCs). Launched in 2015, this European project comes to its end in April 2018.
LIST and its partners have taken advantage of the opportunity offered by the CIVITAS forum to present the most recent developments in the project to visitors, including solutions to improve the transport chain in the construction sector. They presented the three main innovative tools for sustainable urban logistics. These tools offer municipalities and construction or transport companies the following possibilities:
These solutions were demonstrated to visitors to enable them to appreciate their benefits for the improvement of construction logistics in urban areas.
