University of Lorraine & LIST: inter-institute exchange event

On 13 October 2017, a conference was organised between the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and the University of Lorraine at LISTs premises in Belvaux (LU).

The event aimed at furthering academic exchange between our department specialised in environmental research (ERIN) and the Agronomy, Food industry and Forest research centre (A2F) of the University of Lorraine in Nancy (FR).

Around 35 participants worked together, following the programme that consisted of A2F research groups presenting their research while ERIN experts outlined their activities in the area of biotechnology. Another focus of this meeting was also to discuss on potential joint research projects.

Our institute plans a return visit in the near future to tour A2F’s premises and laboratories with a view to building on the momentum of the most recent visit.
