The "LISTalks" conference series brings together stakeholders, researchers, industry and authorities to answer state of the art research and innovation questions on our environment, climate change, and sustainability in strategies and design.
The unprecedented energy transition is changing the future energy industry landscape. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a game-changing role to support and accelerate a reliable and affordable energy transition, with potential applications ranging from optimization and efficiently integrating variable renewable energy resources into the power grid, to supporting a proactive and autonomous operation of distribution grids, to opening up new revenue streams for demand-side response. This webinar will present two views on how AI is shaping the future energy systems, from industrial perspective, in the first talk, and from research angle, in the second one.
Antoine Marot is a Lead AI Scientist at Reseau de Transport d’Electricité (French TSO), Paris, France. His interests include augmentation of simulation, decision-making capability, and human-machine interaction with AI.
Jun Cao received the Ph.D. degree from Queen’s University Belfast, UK, in 2013. He has been working at University of Oxford and keele University as research associate and tenure track research fellow. Since 2021, he has been with Luxembourg Institute of science and technology (LIST) as a researcher. His main research interests include the application of Artificial Intelligence into the operation of distribution grids.
