16th meeting of the Working Group on Health Based Guidance Values (HBGVs)

In the framework of the activities in the field of toxicology, LIST organised in collaboration with the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), the 16th meeting of the Working Group on health based guidance values (HBGVs) for Mycotoxins.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has received a request for four scientific opinions on the appropriateness to set a group health based guidance value for certain mycotoxins and their modified forms in 2015.
The members of the WG draft these opinions and submit the final draft opinion for adoption to the CONTAM Panel of EFSA. The members of the Working Group are asked to support drafting certain parts of the opinion and to revise this draft over the time, taking into account the discussions and revisions proposed by the members of the WG. Based on his experience with mycotoxins, in vitro assays and risk assessment, Dr. Arno Gutleb from the LiSRA Unit has been appointed a member of the working group by EFSA.
