A growing population, land degradation, climate change, and food security are all interrelated problems that must be addressed for agriculture to be sustainable. This urges even more in under development countries, like those in Africa, which are more exposed to risks. In this paper, we present the approach proposed by the ESA-KS DT4CMI project to support sustainable and resilient agriculture, by using emerging technologies, and developing innovative digital services. DT4CMI leverages on several space assets: Earth Observation and Satellite communications to develop a Digital Twin tool as a service. This tool aims to provide comprehensive agricultural information and timely predictions to farmers to support them in improving their practice, and increasing their yield.
