LIST awarded the Actions Positives Label

The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) has been awarded the prestigious Actions Positives label by the Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity, recognizing the institute’s commitment to gender equality and diversity in the workplace.

This award was presented during an official ceremony on 9 December 2024, where Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, Yuriko Backes, acknowledged the continuous efforts of six companies fostering inclusive environments.

Gender equality and diversity are drivers of innovation

LIST’s involvement in the Actions Positives program, part of a voluntary initiative supported by the Ministry, marks a significant milestone in its journey toward an inclusive and egalitarian society.

“Creating a healthy and inclusive working environment is not an option for us—it’s a necessity,” said Lucien Hoffmann, Science Director at LIST. “A diverse, supportive environment enhances our teams’ performance and drives forward our mission of advancing science and technology.”

By joining the Actions Positives program, LIST demonstrates its commitment to shaping a better future where every voice is heard and every action counts. Through targeted actions to address gender balance, LIST has implemented concrete measures to support women in scientific fields, offering leadership training and coaching for those aspiring to management roles. This approach ensures that talent is recognized, regardless of gender.

The institute also actively nurtures a culture that prioritizes well-being in all its forms. From offering flexible working options to promoting mental and physical health, LIST encourages a work-life balance that supports both personal and professional development. Simplified access to part-time work is, for instance, part of the institute's holistic approach to ensuring an inclusive workplace for all.

This year, LIST joins other recipients such as Banque Raiffeisen, Cargolux Airlines, COCOTTES, Clearstream, and KPMG Luxembourg in receiving the label. With this recognition, LIST continues its work to foster a truly inclusive and supportive environment that contributes to scientific advancement and innovation.
